Shriver Kennedy Tribute

CDI wishes to send out their deepest sympathies to the Shriver/Kennedy family during this time of great loss. Mrs. Eunice Kennedy Shriver was a remarkable woman who through her kindness and generosity was able to touch and bring joy to so many faces throughout this world.

Dr. Behrooz Behbudi, CEO and Founder of CDI, had the privileged opportunity of working with both the Shriver’s and the Special Olympics team in bringing opportunities to athletes in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

“For someone who never ran for a public office or held one, as her son Robert once said, she still managed to change the world. I saw this first hand when she, her husband  Sargent, and I helped to give representation to Iran back in the 2005, Special Olympics World Winter Games in Nagano, Japan. Just as I will personally miss her, so will the world, for her compassion and her outsized heart for the most vulnerable of our society. May God bless her and her family in this time of her passing.” – Dr.Behbudi

Mrs. Shriver will be greatly missed; however the work that she has done for not only the Special Olympics, but also the NICHD, will forever live on in her memory.
